Welcome to the Department of Agricultural Sciences. The Department takes cognizance of the role played by agriculture in the realization of sustainable development through attainment of food and nutrition security, good health and poverty eradication. This role can only be played effectively if we have well-trained agricultural professionals and cutting-edge agricultural technologies to transform the traditional, subsistence agriculture into a modern, commercially-oriented sector. Our vision, mission and objectives highlight the drive and modalities through which we participate in agricultural sector transformation.
